The National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to release the updated results and counseling schedule for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) in 2024 shortly. This week is when the revised NEET UG 2024 results are expected to be announced. The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, praised the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the validity of the NEET UG exams and emphasized that the truth would always win out. He continued by saying that the National Testing Agency would release the NEET UG 2024 final results in two days, or by today, July 25.

The Supreme Court's ruling on a single Physics question has led to a revision of the NEET UG results, which would remove 44 students off the list of NEET 2024 toppers.These students profited from the bonus points awarded for the Physics question, for which NTA determined that two of the answers were accurate.As a result, there would be a change to the NEET 2024 merit list, with only 17 toppers instead of 61. The Supreme Court decided to modify the scores of 44 applicants to 715 out of 720. After the other 70 students, who scored 716 out of 720, these 44 will now be rated.

The CJI rejected the petitions filed by students asking for the NEET UG exams to be canceled and retested on July 23. The CJI reasoned that there was not enough proof of a widespread leak of the NEET UG question papers, which could have led to the conclusion that the exam was tainted and that its integrity had been systematically violated.

NEET UG 2024 Counselling Schedule

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will instantly announce the NEET UG 2024 counseling dates following the release of the amended results. Admissions to prominent medical schools such as AIIMS, JIPMER, and other government and private medical colleges in India will be based on the NEET all-India common merit list.

According to the NEET results announced on June 4, this year’s cut-off for general and general-PH category applicants went up from 720-137 to 720-164.
