SRM University (Sri Ramaswami Memorial University) is a renowned Private University in India that offers undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses and doctoral courses in various disciplines. The institute was established in the year 1985 as SRM Engineering College and was later given Deemed status in the academic year 2003-04, and the name of the institution was changed to SRM Institute of Science and Technology. 1. SRM Kattankulathur Campus, Chennai-
   • SRM Kattankulathur campus is spread over 250 acres of land and well known for providing the quality education in the field of Science & Technology and Research.

   • SRM Kattankulathur campus comprises of three colleges-

SRM University Admissions

Admissions in SRM University are based upon merit and entrance for different courses. Accepted entrance for B. Tech is SRMJEE/JEE Main, for B Arch candidates must have qualified NATA. B Des course demands UCEED followed by a written test and personal interview conducted by the university. 

Steps to Apply for Admission to College

The admission process of the college is conducted in online mode. Interested candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the college must register themselves on the official website of the SRM University. Below mentioned are the steps that one must follow for admission:

Step 1 – Visit the website of CollegeSearch i.e. https://www.collegesearch.in/.

Step 2 – Click on ‘Colleges' and type college's name in the search bar.

Step 3 – The college profile appears after clicking on ‘SRM University'.

Step 4 – Navigate to and click on ‘Request to Apply' tab available on the top left of the page.

Step 5 – It will redirect you to the page where registration procedure takes place.

Step 6 – Enter your details such as Name, Mobile noEmail id, and the course you would want to apply for.

Step 7 - Process the application form fee of Rs 1100 through online portals or bank transfer, if one is applying online. The fee for offline application is INR 1160. 

Step 8 - Save the application form and print it for future reference

Step 9 – Registration process is complete, and a new page of suggested colleges appears where you can apply for any other college you might be interested in.

SRMJEE Results

The results of SRMJEE are tentatively announced in the month of May every year. A merit is formed on the basis of the SRMJEE scores of the candidates. On the basis of rank, the stream or branch is allocated to a candidate. The results of SRMJEE can be checked at the official website of the SRM University.

SRM University Chennai has an excellent placement cell that ensures students are prepared and no stone remains unturned in getting them the best opportunities. Ques.  Is there any dress code in the SRM University ?

Ans. Yes, there is a dress code in the University which depends on the department.

Ques. What is the procedure for withdrawal of Admission?

Ans. Write an application to the University office with signature of HOD of your department.  However, there is no guarantee of fees withdrawal. 

Ques. Is there any facility for parents to stay in University while they come to attend the counselling?

Ans. No, we don't have any facility. You have to make your own arrangement. However, you can stay at the SRM Hotel (Star Category) near the campus. Ques. Is there any upper age limit for PG Programs?

Ans.No, there is no upper age limit for PG Programs. And the same applies for UG Programs and other programs too.

Ques. I am an NRI Student? Is there any different procedure for NRI Students?

Ans.. The application procedure is same for NRI students. However, the fees is different for NRI Students.
