NMAMIT has an impressive placement record of over 80 well-known companies assisting in placements, annually. Over 150 companies assist the college by providing industrial exposure/internships to its students. 5- 10% of their students pursue higher studies in the country or outside, preparing for it while on campus. Placements for the 2019-20 batch is going on with 591 selections and 52 internships by 74 companies from August 2019. Placements continue till students graduate in July 2020. A student with 8.25 CGPA, selected by a large recruiter is permitted to apply for a ‘Dream’/ ‘Core’ company and once selected by a core company, he foregoes the previous offer and remains with the Dream company.

• Hostels- NMAMIT has seven hostel blocks for boys and four hostel blocks for girls. The hostel blocks are equipped with all the requirements like laundry, ambulance service, diesel generators, etc. 
• GuestHouse- A guest house facility is provided for the parents and guardians of the students of NMAMIT and is on a nominal rent. The guest house has al the necessities in it.
• Transportation- The college has around 32 buses for the students and staff members of NMAMIT from Karkala, Mangaluru, Udupi, Kundapur, Bantwal, Belthangady.
• Library- The NMAMIT Central Library timings are from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. The library area can accommodate around 75810 students at a time and it has all the required books, magazines, newspapers, periodicals.

Why Should Choose NMAMIT, Bangalore?

NMAM institute of technology is an autonomous college. They are trying to change some of their outdated systems. So all the points I say maynot apply in future.

If you want to join Information Science or Computer Science branch, NMAMIT is really good. Many software companies Like Mscripts, VMware, Juniper networks, Sony, Oracle visit college and provide full time /internships to students with good Salary of atleast 5 - 6 lakh per annum and maximum can go upto 12 Lakh or above CTC. Amazon a super dream company came to college and offered internship with Rs. 60,000/- stipend. And then 30 Lakh CTC. Ofcourse they'll hire only few (4–5 people).

Coming to Electronics & Communication Engineering branch…. If you are going to Masters… you can join this college. If you are thinking of getting into a good Embedded Systems or VLSI Domain jobs, well forget it. Rarely any Companies comes. Most of EC students gets placed in Mass Recruitment software companies at the end of Degree. And During pandemic of 2020 situation got worse. Few start-up Core companies which were supposed to come didn't come to college. So I would highly recommend to join any autonomous Colleges in Bangalore.

This holds good for Mechanical and Civil Engineering too. But it's Still worse to these branches because they don't have much coding background. Many of my friends after completing B.E. in these branches take 6 months software training and do software jobs. It's really bad.

The main issue with current System of education in VTU colleges and NMAMIT is during final year students will have atleast 7 subjects many will be useless Theory.. no practical application. And thus students can't Work on their Final year project properly. In many of Bangalore Autonomous colleges many companies provide Internship to students who have just entered 4th year and thus theyll work on a professional project and this will be considered as Their final year Project. And the end of Their Final year they'll have Internship/ Job experience+ BE degree and they have completed their final year Prjt. They'll not have useless Theory based subjects in final year to ear their time away from working on Project. So my suggestion is if you are joining Mechanical/ Civil/ EEE/ ECE/ Biotechnology…. Make sure how final year in tht particular college works. Better join Top Autonomous colleges in Bangalore, because u'll have plenty of opportunities in Core Domain.
