NIT BTech Electrical Engineering cut-off scores for JEE Main 2024

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses offered by the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). The JEE Main 2024 is expected to be held in four sessions in February, March, April, and May 2024. The exam will consist of three papers: Paper 1 for BE/BTech, Paper 2A for BArch, and Paper 2B for BPlanning. The exam will be conducted in online mode, except for the drawing section of Paper 2A, which will be in offline mode.

The NITs are among the most sought-after engineering colleges in India that offer high-quality education and excellent placement opportunities. The NITs offer various BTech programs in different branches of engineering, such as civil, mechanical, electrical, computer science, electronics, etc. One of the popular branches of engineering among the aspirants is electrical engineering, which deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. Electrical engineering is a broad and diverse field that covers various sub-fields, such as power systems, control systems, signal processing, communication systems, etc.

The admission to the BTech electrical engineering programs in the NITs is based on the JEE Main rank, the preferences of the candidates, and the availability of seats. The NTA will release the JEE Main 2024 result and the All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates after each session of the exam. The candidates can check their scores and ranks on the official website or portal of the NTA using their application number and date of birth. The NTA will also release the percentile scores and the cut-off marks for each category and paper of the JEE Main 2024. The cut-off marks are the minimum marks required to qualify for the JEE Advanced 2024, which is the second stage of the exam for admission to the IITs.

The candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2024 and wish to apply for the NITs will have to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process, which will be conducted in online mode. The JoSAA counseling process will consist of various steps, such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and reporting. The candidates will have to register for the JoSAA counseling process on the official website or portal of JoSAA using their JEE Main application number and password. The candidates will have to fill their choices of programs and institutes in the order of their preference. The candidates will have to lock their choices before the deadline. The JoSAA will allocate seats to the candidates based on their JEE Main rank, category, choices, and seat availability. The JoSAA will conduct multiple rounds of seat allotment and the candidates will have to accept, freeze, float, or slide their allotted seats. The candidates will have to report to the allotted institute for document verification and admission confirmation.

The cut-off marks of the BTech electrical engineering programs in the NITs vary from year to year and from institute to institute. The cut-off marks depend on various factors, such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, the number of seats, the category of the candidates, etc. The cut-off marks are the closing ranks of the candidates who get admission to the respective programs and institutes. The candidates can check the previous year's cut-off marks of the BTech electrical engineering programs in the NITs on the official website or portal of JoSAA or the respective NITs. The previous year's cut-off marks can give an idea of the expected cut-off marks for the JEE Main 2024. However, the candidates should note that the cut-off marks are subject to change and they should not rely solely on them for their preparation and planning.

The JEE Main 2024 is a highly competitive and challenging exam that requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and strategy. The candidates who aspire to pursue BTech electrical engineering in the NITs should start their preparation as soon as possible and follow the syllabus, exam pattern, and mock tests of the JEE Main 2024. The candidates should also keep themselves updated with the latest news and information regarding the exam on the official website or portal of the NTA. The candidates should also explore the various programs and institutes that offer BTech electrical engineering and make their choices wisely. The candidates should aim to score as high as possible in the JEE Main 2024 to increase their chances of getting admission to their desired program and institute.
