Round 2 reporting date for NEET SS 2023 Counselling has been extended to January 5; notification here

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the reporting deadline for Round 2 of NEET SS 2023 counselling. Candidates who have been allotted seats in this round can now report to their allotted colleges till 5:00 PM on January 5, 2024. This is a welcome extension for many candidates who may have faced difficulties reporting earlier due to various reasons.

Previous Deadline and Reasons for Extension

Earlier, the last date for reporting for Round 2 was December 31, 2023. However, the MCC received numerous requests from candidates for an extension due to various reasons, including:

  • Travel difficulties: The holiday season and year-end festivities might have made it difficult for some candidates to travel to their allotted colleges on time.
  • Documentation delays: Some candidates might have faced delays in obtaining necessary documents, such as medical certificates or police clearances.
  • Technical issues: A few candidates might have encountered technical glitches while uploading documents or completing the reporting process online.

MCC's Response and Revised Schedule

Taking these concerns into account, the MCC decided to extend the reporting deadline for Round 2. This will provide additional time for candidates to overcome any hurdles and complete the reporting process smoothly.
