Here's why KCET registration for 2024 will be blocked from January 13 to January 17.

Aspiring engineers in Karnataka, pay attention! If you're planning to apply for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024, there's a temporary halt in your journey from January 13th to 17th. This temporary closure of the online registration portal might raise a few eyebrows, but fret not, it's for a good reason.

The Reason Behind the Pause:

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), responsible for conducting KCET, is undertaking a crucial system upgrade. They're migrating the Student Attendance Tracking System (SATS) database to a new and improved platform. During this migration process, the facility to verify student data using SATS numbers won't be available. Since KCET application validation relies heavily on this verification, temporarily suspending registrations ensures a smooth and accurate application process once the new system goes live.

What This Means for Applicants:

Students who haven't yet begun their KCET 2024 application can take this as a sign to gather their documents and prepare for the registration window to reopen on January 18th. Those who have already started their application but haven't completed it, don't worry! Your partially filled application will be saved, and you can resume working on it once the portal reopens.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • KCET Registration Closed: January 13th – 17th, 2024
  • KCET Registration Resumes: January 18th, 2024
  • KCET Exam Dates: April 18th & 19th, 2024

Stay Informed and Stay Prepared:

While the portal is closed, it's a good opportunity to stay updated on any official announcements from the KEA regarding the revised registration timeline or any other important changes. Utilize this time to carefully review the eligibility criteria, admission guidelines, and prescribed syllabus for KCET 2024. Remember, thorough preparation ensures a smooth application process once the portal resumes.
