NEET UG 2024: Counselling likely on THIS date; notification and schedule awaited on mcc.nic.in

Counselling for NEET UG 2024: It is anticipated that counselling for undergraduate medical seats on the All India Quota (AIQ) would start shortly. A comprehensive announcement and timetable will be made available on the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) official website, mcc.nic.in.

The Supreme Court was previously notified by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that the counselling procedure will begin on July 6. In order to expedite the counselling procedure, which started on July 6, the NTA had scheduled the NEET re-test on June 23. The results were announced on July 1.

On June 23, the NTA retook the NEET-UG test for 1,563 students who had previously received grace marks for "loss of time" in the exam. Later on, though, the Supreme Court removed these grace marks in response to petitions that were filed against them. Out of the 1,563 applicants, only 813 took the reexamination. With the grace marks removed, 48% of applicants chose to stick with their initial scores.

15% of the All India Quota seats, all seats in central universities (such as Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and the Faculty of Dentistry at Jamia Milia Islamia), seats in colleges run by the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and seats at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune are all subject to the MCC NEET counselling process.
