Karnataka DCET 2024 options entry deadline extended till July 15; NTTF candidates made eligible
The deadline for submitting options for the 2024 Diploma CET (DCET) counselling has been extended by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to July 15. Due to the candidates' ability to appear for document verification until July 14th, an extension has been granted. DCTE 2024 counseling is now available to candidates of the Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF). In a formal announcement, KEA stated, "The candidates who have passed the NTTF will be given the result and considered for seat allotment, per the interim order in the high court." During July 13 and July 14, such candidates can have their certificates checked. Those who pass the document verification process will be given the opportunity to enter the options and will be given priority for seat assignments in the first round. The exam authority informed that working professionals who have applied for DCET 2024 will not be eligible for admission to second year of engineering courses under professional quota as they have not submitted the prescribed one-year service certificate. Such candidates are required to attend the document verification and obtain verification slips to be considered as regular diploma candidates. Such candidates will be given regular rank and will be allowed to enter options to be considered for first round seat allotment. Moreover, candidates who did not appear for document verification urged KEA to allow it. Such candidates can attend the verification process from today, July 13 till tomorrow, July 14. The date for registering OPTIONS for the first round of seat allotment has been extended to July 15, 2024, No. 8.00, due to the previously specified reasons and the inclusion of the seats relinquished by the Governing Body to the Government in the seat matrix. The schedule after seat distribution will soon be posted on the authority's website, according to KEA.
